Dear Friends of Ciocia Basia,<\/p>\n

we are currently trying to get funds for an eye operation for Alicja Tyisac, a Polish woman who lost most of her eyesight due to being denied abortion. We would be very happy about your support. <\/span><\/p>\n

A pregnant woman from Poland, diagnosed with a severe eye disease, tried to get an abortion to avoid an escalation of her disease.<\/p>\n

Her requests were rejected by several medical doctors and she underwent labor of her third child. Her condition later deteriorated, and she sued one of the doctors.<\/p>\n

Her criminal lawsuits were rejected in Poland and the case was appealed to the European Court of Human Rights, which accepted one part of the complaint, and the plaintiff was awarded damages.<\/p>\n

At the moment “a woman” Alicja Tysi\u0105c lives on 653 Polish Zloty a month, being: \u00a3135 and she is fighting to keep what’s left of her eye sight.<\/p>\n

The medication costs her 4900pln (\u00a31,019) …<\/p>\n

Alicja is actively supporting #<\/span>czarnyprotest<\/span><\/span><\/a> and women right’s movement – NOW SHE NEEDS OUR SUPPORT.<\/p>\n
